The Love Yourself Project is pleased to announce the collaboration of LYP and The Children’s Workshop School of the Lower East Side. Students have created art exploring what it means to “love yourself” and they are giving us a unique art exhibit sharing what self-love looks like.

Sales of art will go to help fund activities for The Children’s Workshop School and The Love Yourself Project. Darryl Lavare is the teaching artist.

The Children's Workshop School is a public alternative school located in the East Village.  Maria Velez-Clarke is the principal and founder of this very special school. It's a small, close knit community of about 270 children from pre-K to 5th grade. Maria and teachers are all very kind and teach empathy and kindness. The school teaches the children about social equality, civil rights, and stresses creative learning using alternative learning techniques as much as possible while still conforming to the city standards.
